State police arrest two in Malden for drug and credit card fraud

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 9:15 a.m., police officers, state troopers and federal agents executed a search warrant at a Malden residence following an investigation into credit card fraud from that address.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following: Numerous fake credit cards, fake driver’s license, a credit card reader, 48.7 ounces of marijuana, 36 Alprazolam pills, 428 Oxycodone pills and $9,400 in cash, as well as cocaine and heroin.

Two suspects who lived at that residence were arrested.

The investigation into the suspects was initiated in the fall of 2017. Arrested were Jesse Desravines, 32, from Miami, Fla. and Joshua Ezewuzie, 25, of Malden.

Desravines and Ezewuzie were booked at the Logan State Police Barracks. Both were denied bail and held until transported to Malden District Court for arraignment.

Desravines was charged with:

• 4 counts of possessing blank credit cards;

• 2 counts of forge or utter forged credit card;

• 2 counts of possessing counterfeit credit card press;

• Possession to distribute class D drugs;

• Possession to distribute class B drugs.

Ezewuzie was charged with:

• 4 counts of possessing blank credit cards;

• 5 counts of forge or utter forged credit card;

• Possessing counterfeit credit card press;

• Possession to distribute class D drugs;

• Possession to distribute class B drugs;

• Possession to distribute class E drugs.

Departments and units participating in the investigation and search warrant execution were the Massachusetts State Police Troop F, State Police Detective Unit for Middlesex County, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Malden Police, Boston Police, and the United States Secret Service.
